Meaning: I worship Saraswati and Ganesha, the creators of letters, meanings, essences, meter and auspiciousness.॥1॥

Yamashrito hi Vakropai Chandra: Vandyate everywhere॥3॥
Meaning: I worship the knowledgeable, eternal Guru in the form of Shankara, by relying on whom even the crooked moon is worshipped everywhere.॥3॥
Sitaramgunagrampunyaranyaviharinau.
I bow to the purest sciences of Kavishwarakpishvarau॥4॥
Meaning: I worship the great poet Valmiki and the great monkey Hanuman, who are endowed with pure knowledge and who roam in the sacred forest of the virtues of Sita Ram.॥4॥

Most auspicious Sita Natoham Ramvallabham॥5॥
Meaning: I offer my salutations to Sri Sita, the beloved of Sri Rama, who is the creator, protector and destroyer, remover of all troubles and bestower of all welfare.॥5॥

Yatsattvaadmrishaiva bhati sakalam rajjau yathaherbhramah.
यत्पादप्लवमेकमेव ही भावम्भोधेस्तितिर्षावतां
वंदेऽहं तमशेषकारानपरं रामख्यमिशं हरिम॥6॥
Meaning: Under whose influence the entire universe, Brahma and other gods and demons are under the influence of his illusion, due to whose power this entire visible world appears to be true like the illusion of a snake in a rope and whose feet alone I worship Lord Hari, who is called Rama, for all those reasons (the reason of all reasons and the best of all), who is the only boat for those who wish to cross the ocean of life.॥6॥

Ramayana nigditam kvachidnyatopi.
Swantsukhay Tulsi Raghunathgatha
Bhashaanibandhamatimanjulamatnoti॥7॥
Meaning: Tulsidas, for the satisfaction of his conscience, narrated the story of Shri Raghunathji, which is in accordance with many Puranas, Vedas and (Tantra) Shastras and which is described in Ramayana and is also available from some other places.
