Importance of Pind Daan: -

~ The soul of the deceased body does not take with it the record of its deeds to the other world or the next life. The soul carries with it the record of its deeds which is stored in a chip (like a carbon It is imprinted on the particle, and is also called Chitra Gupta (Chitra means picture and Gupta means that which is not known; this is an optical action) and which is carried by the air.It accompanies, and what is called a biochip remains attached to the soul after death. This biochip is invisible to the naked eye and is about the size of a thumb, but Its thickness cannot be seen. The details of an entire life form, everything a living being sees, hears, speaks, and thinks, are imprinted on a particle of carbon, air, or hydrogen.The list gives this chip to Yamaraj. Only Yamaraj can read and destroy it. Only after destroying it, Yamaraj punishes the person according to their deeds.The chip remains with the soul; the bio-soul cannot take another body. When this chip is separated from the bio-soul, the pure soul experiences pain or happiness according to its karma.takes on a new body. 

~ After death, the bio-soul attempts to enter the deceased body. However, this ghost-soul hovers sadly in the air near the deceased body and its bones.The soul remains at the place of death until it transforms from a ghost soul into a bio-soul. Only this bio-soul is capable of going to Yamaraj. This ghost soul is transformed into a bio-soul.To effect the transformation, a Pind Daan (a sacred offering) is required. This offering can be performed by a son, relative, or someone else.

This is a ten-day ritual. The offering is divided into four parts. Two parts are offered to the five elements (earth, water, air, fire, and space), one part to the messengers of death, and one part to the spirits.After eating this food for nine days, the spirit transforms into a spirit body the size of a human hand. On the tenth day, it gains power. With this power, She prepares to walk the path to Yamaraja, also known as the road to death. 

From the "lai" given in the donation of the pind: -

First day - Sir

Day 2 – Neck, shoulders

Day 3 – Heart

Fourth day - back

Fifth day – Dhuni

Sixth day – buttocks, private parts

Seventh day - thigh

Eighth day - Knee

Day 9 – Feet

Tenth day – hunger and thirst

This chosen ghost body, suffering from hunger and thirst, eats food on the 11th and 12th day.

On the thirteenth day, the ghost body, bound in the clutches of the messengers of death, moves like a captive monkey, dragging itself along the road of death.

The distance to Yamanagari is 86,000 yojanas (1 yojana = approximately 15 km). One has to walk 247 yojanas in a day and night. The 16-mile journey involves numerous tortures, difficult paths, and After 11 months of horrific suffering, the reign of Yamaraj begins. From there, the journey to Yamanagari begins, which is even more traumatic.

Many scholars believe that this ghost-soul moves with the help of air and we can understand that the air which carries the ghost-soul, has to face many types of environments, such as smell,One has to pass through rivers, mountains, cold, heat, animals, etc. The Garuda Purana describes the Veterani River in such a terrifying way. This text was likely written in ancient times, at that time It is described in the scriptures to protect Brahmins and cows, to instill a spiritual fear in the hearts of the common people, so that people believe that their sins will be destroyed by donating cows and other things to Brahmins.The illusion remains.

Seventeen days after leaving the mortal body, on the 18th day, the ghost body stops to rest in the first city and eats food offered by the son. Thus, after visiting all the cities, a At the end of the year, after reaching the city of Bahubhetpur, the ghost leaves its body and takes on a body the size of a thumb.

The ghost soul, bound in bonds, starts moving in the air along with the messengers of Yama, to suffer the consequences of its deeds.

There are four gates in the city of Yamaraj. Of these, sinners depart from the southern gate towards Yamaraj's capital.
