Welfare deeds for the dying person

~ First, the ground should be sprinkled with cow dung. Then, a circle should be drawn with a line of water, sesame seeds and kusha grass should be spread on it, and the dying person should be laid to rest on it. Five gems should be placed in his mouth.By adding gold, it burns away all sins. Ghosts, evil spirits, and messengers of Yama enter the dead body through impure places and beds placed on the ground.

~ Ganga water should be poured into his mouth, or a Tulsi leaf should be placed.
~ Let no one mourn and call upon him in the name of the Lord.
~ As long as you are alive, chant the name of Vishnu.

~ Yamaraja has ordered his messengers to bring to him those souls who do not chant the name of Hari. Those who chant Om and Hari do not come to him. Sinful people who do not believe in Narayan, no amount of good deeds can erase their sins.
~ O Garuda, whatever sins humans commit knowingly or unknowingly, they should do penance to purify those sins. The scriptures mention Dashvidhi Snan, Chandrayanna Vrat, cow donation, etc.If a person is unable to succeed in these tasks due to lack of ability, then at least a quarter of the required amount of atonement must be performed. Then, ten great donations should be made: cows, land, sesame seeds, gold, ghee, clothes,Donate jaggery, silver, and salt. These are the best in purity for the purification of sins.     

The routes mentioned to reach Yamduar are extremely foul smelling, filled with pus, blood etc. Therefore, to cross the river Vaitarni located on that route, Vaitarni-cow (the cow Black all over and with black udders (the cow should be donated to a Brahmin with a good nature). 

~Importance of donating a position:-
The eight types of donations include an umbrella, shoes, clothing, a ring, a water pot, a seat, a vessel, and food. One should also donate sesame seeds, a pot of ghee, a bed, and whatever else is desirable.
O King of Birds, on this earth, he who has atoned for his sins, has given all kinds of donations, has donated the Vaitarani cow and the eight donations, who has donated a vessel full of sesame seeds, a vessel full of ghee, a bed And if he donates the position in the prescribed manner, he does not come into the womb of hell, that is, he is not reborn.

Whatever a person donates, he receives it in the next world. There he finds it placed before him.

~ By donating an umbrella, one gets a soothing shade on the way.

~ By donating sandals, that person rides a horse and crosses the road comfortably.

~ By donating a water-filled kamandalu, a person passes away happily to the next world.

~ By donating clothes and jewellery, the messengers of Yama do not trouble the person.

~ By donating sesame seeds (white, black, brown), the sins committed by mind, speech and body are destroyed.

~ By donating a bed equipped with all the facilities, one enjoys the pleasures of Indralok in heaven for 60000 years.

~ Apart from this, by chanting "Nandanandanam" while donating a cow, it does not fall into the river Vetrani.

~ In times of sorrow and illness, donating sesame seeds, iron, gold, cotton cloth, salt, seven grains, a piece of land, etc., purifies sinful deeds.

~ Donating iron prevents one from going to Yama's kingdom. Iron should be donated with the hands touching the ground. Yamaraj holds many types of iron weapons in his hands. This donation reduces the effects of those weapons. Reduces the

~ Donation of gold pleases Brahma and other sages present in the court of Yamaraj, which is considered a boon.

~ Yamadutas do not cause trouble due to cotton clothes.

~ By donating seven grains, the staff posted at Yama's gates are pleased.

~ By donating a piece of land on which crops are grown, one attains Indra Loka.

~ Donating one cow while in full consciousness is equivalent to donating one hundred cows when sick and one thousand cows when dying. 

~ A cow should be given to only one person. If he sells it or shares it with someone else, his family will suffer for seven generations.

Method of donating a cow
~ Wear gold leaf on the horns of a black or brown cow and silver on its feet.

~ Extract its milk in a brass vessel.

~ Put a black cloth shawl over the cow.

~ Cover the milk vessel and place it on cotton. Near it, place a golden idol of Yamraj, a piece of iron, ghee in a brass vessel, all this on the cow.

~ Make a bundle from sugarcane stalks, tie it with silk thread, dig a hole in the ground, fill it with water and place the bundle in it.

~ Holding the tail of the cow, placing the feet on the mat, offering alms to the Brahmin, saluting him, reciting the mantra, humbly pray to Lord Vishnu, O Lord, you are the giver of all living beings,You are the protector and benefactor. I offer this gift at your feet, saluting the Vetarni River. O Mother Cow, in the form of Goddess Shakti, please absolve me of my sins. Then, with folded hands, Yama While looking at the Raj in the statue of cow, take a round around all this and donate it to a Brahmin.

Auspicious time and place for cow donation:
~ All holy bathing places
~ The residence of Brahmins
~ Sun, Moon and Planet
~ New Moon Day     

~ Even a small amount of wealth, money donated with your own hands, has a lasting impact. Wealth, property, wife, family—all are destined for destruction, so accumulate virtuous deeds. Virtue—charity, small or big It doesn't make any difference to me.

~ Those sinful people who, due to greed, do not do charity during illness, always remain unhappy.

~ Son, grandson, brother, relative, friend, who does not do charity for a dying person, is guilty of the sin of killing a Brahmin.

~ In all these types of donations mentioned, the superiority or inferiority of the result is due to the excess or deficiency of the donation due to the faith or disbelief of the person.

~ In this mandala built on the ground, Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Lakshmi and Agni deity reside. Therefore, a board must be formed.  on the land without circles Upon death, he does not attain another birth. His soul wanders with the wind.

~ Sesame seeds are born from my sweat. Using them drives away demons, devils, and monsters. A single sesame seed is equivalent to thirty-two kilograms of gold.

~ Kusha grass has emerged from the hairs of my body. Brahma should be recognized at the root of Kusha grass, Vishnu in the middle, and Shiva at the tip. Therefore, Kusha grass should be consumed through the mouth to satisfy the gods, and for the sake of the ancestors,"Sesame" is important for satisfaction. 

~ O best of birds, Vishnu, Ekadashi fast, Geeta, Tulsi, Brahmin and cow, these six are the means of providing salvation to people in this difficult and temporary world. In the last breath, "O Ganga, O Ganga, Bhagwat Chanting the verses of Geeta or the name of "Hari" is auspicious.

~ At the time of death, "Kush" should be kept in both the hands of the dying person / With this the person attains Vishnu Loka.

~ Lavanaras is liked by the ancestors or provides heaven.

~ Place a Tulsi tree and a Shaligram stone (which destroys all sins) nearby. A home where Tulsi is worshipped is considered a sacred bathing place.He goes there and Yama's messengers do not come there.

After this, the Sutaks should be recited as prescribed. Doing so brings liberation to death.

~ Instead of mourning, the son should shave his head, wear new clothes and bathe the dead body along with his loved ones.

~ After this, place gold pieces on various parts of the body of the dead person (mouth, nostrils, eyes, ears, penis, genitals).

~ His dead body should be covered with two clothes and worshipped with vermillion and rice grains.

The daughter-in-law of the house and others should worship the corpse by circling around it and offering rice bran (laai) at the place of death. Doing so will appease Mother Earth and the divine powers. She is pleased.

Adorned with a garland of flowers, he should be led through the door accompanied by his son and relatives. At that time, the son should personally carry the dead father's body on his shoulders. If the person does not attain salvation,The son rescues him from hell. The son who carries the corpse receives the reward of the Ashwa Megh Yagya at every step.
